Meet Suzanne:

After seeing some of the results in patients’ complexion from BBL I decided I would like to try this.  I was interested in a non-surgical procedure with very little downtime, and after researching several options and consulting with Dr. Karaca and his staff, I decided this was a good fit.  I spend a good deal of time outdoors in the sun between gardening and recreational activities, and do not always apply or re-apply proper amounts of sunscreen.  My area of concern is freckles, sun spots, and small broken blood vessels on my complexion.  I wear make-up infrequently, and wanted to find a treatment to reverse the effects of aging and sun damage.  It is also my desire to wear less make-up as I get older.

About The Procedure

Prior to having your BBL Session, your face is “read” on the Visia Camera.  The Visia camera will take a full pass of your face and give the technician a read of your skin. It will take into account your pore count, areas of dark spots/sun damage on your skin, and several other variables the machine is able to read. Should you have this procedure more then one time, it will also show the overall improvement of your complexion on these scales.
The procedure takes about 45 minutes to an hour depending how many passes are made over your problem areas. BBL can target both reds and browns in your skin, so an adjustment will be made to the settings on the equipment. Your skin will be cleaned of any toxins or make-up before the procedure begins.  Goggles will be applied over the eyes as the light emitted from the wand is very bright.  The procedure is not painful.  I did not experience any discomfort or burning after my procedure.  Your face may be a tiny bit red a for a day or two after you procedure.

How it Works

The light energy delivered by the BBL will gently heat the upper layers of your skin. The heat absorbed by the targeted areas will stimulate your skin cells to regenerate new collagen. This process will restore your skin to its natural beauty, blending its natural colors and making it smoother, vibrant and younger looking. In addition, the photo thermal energy will eliminate fine vessels that cause redness and reduce unwanted melanin that produces pigmented lesions.
