Halo Fractional Laser

Sciton®’s new Halo™ treatment is the world’s first hybrid fractional laser system used to achieve beautiful, healthy skin with minimal downtime. This laser system helps diminish the appearance of large pores and evens the skin’s tone and texture.

What is the Halo™ Fractional Laser?

The state-of-the-art Halo™ hybrid fractional laser is the only one of its kind available for use. Halo™ uses innovative technology that combines lasers to simultaneously deliver treatment to both the epidermis and dermis. The energy and heat from the Halo™ laser creates microscopic breaks in the skin’s surface, replacing old skin and resulting in a radiant, younger look.

Dynamic Thermal Optimization (DTO) constantly checks the skin’s temperature to automatically adjust the laser and maximize results. This and various other settings allow the Halo™ laser treatment to be customized to each patient’s needs and performed safely.

HALO™ Fractional Laser Benefits

  • Removes dark spots and evens skin tone
  • Combats damage caused by sun exposure
  • Smooths and softens skin
  • Reduces the appearance of large pores, fine lines, and wrinkles
  • Required recovery time is less than with other laser procedures

What to expect from a HALO™ Laser treatment

Treatment is completed within 30 minutes and generally does not cause any pain. The Halo™ laser utilizes a unique cooling tip to maintain patient comfort throughout treatment. This safe and effective procedure requires the laser to be passed once over the treatment area, emitting quick pulses of energy.

Halo™ Fractional Laser Treatment Recovery

After the Halo™ laser procedure is complete, cream will be applied to the treated area for healing and comfort. To alleviate any additional discomfort, you may apply a cold compress to the affected area.

Normal activity is safe to resume the same day after the procedure. Around 2-3 days post-treatment, the skin may bronze before beginning to peel, resulting in a healthy, youthful glow.  It is essential to wear sunscreen during the healing phase, as you’ll be more sensitive to sun exposure than normal.

Frequently Asked Questions

Am I a good candidate for Halo™?

If things like uneven texture, dark pigmentation, and fine lines are an issue, then Halo™ laser treatment may be right for you. Ideal candidates are in good health, understand the treatment process, and have realistic expectations of the results. Halo™ can be used in conjunction with other invasive and non-invasive treatments to enhance results.

Are there side effects of the Halo™ laser?

Similar to a mild sunburn, minor swelling and redness may occur but should resolve within 24 hours. Dryness and rough spots are not uncommon during the healing phase of the process. The peeling and healing process takes up to one week for the face, but other treatment areas may take as long as two weeks to peel entirely.
